Overnighting Couchsachraga
Out of the 5 HP I have left Couch is the one I am least looking forward to. I had to orphan it last year when I did the Santas and I’m still bitter about it. I’d like to base camp it. Is the lean-to near Bradley Pond my best option? I usually hammock, is that area suitable to set up my hammock? Any other suggestion?

Scarface Mtn Trail Status
Hi all! I was wondering if anyone has hiked Scarface recently. I know the trail was closed for bridge repair earlier this year but I’m unsure of the current status.

Mount Adams Firetower - 7-8-25
A great hike up Adams today. Trail conditions were for the most part great! That last mile and 1500 ft elevation gain is pretty intense - is that one of the steeper miles in the Adk Park?
I also got to try out my new Black Diamond trekking poles, what a game changer!

I've done the Beaver Meadow trail in summer and winter and I'm excited to do it again. You get the Beaver Meadow Falls, a really cool balanced rock towards the top, and an incredible view of Gothics when you come over the ridge. It's one that sticks with you for sure.
