Bear Can Rental
Hiking Marcy in August, overnight. I was gonna start from the loj and rent the bear can there.
I’m going to start from Upper Works trailhead now that the mudslides have wrecked some things.
Is hitting the Loj first still my best bet to rent a bear can, or is there another place recommended?

If you pass through Old Forge, you may be able to rent one at Mountainman. In the Lake Placid area you have the HPIC, the Cascade welcome center, and I think High Peaks Cyclery does rentals as well. There's also the Mountaineer in Keene Valley.
