9/8 Hurricane & 9/9 Cobble Lookout
Delayed post! Hiked Hurricane from the eastern approach from the Big Crow parking lot on O’Toole Way. Easier route than going from 9N. First mile is very flat. Joins the standard trail about a quarter mile from the summit. Hiked Cobble Lookout the next morning while I waited for it to warm up enough to paddle on Moose Pond. Easy little jaunt to a great view. Has anyone bushwhacked over to Winch Mountain from there? I just read about that in the Adirondack Explorer.
