Redfield & Cliff - June 25
This is my first time posting to the app since its launch! Also, I was thinking about sharing this to the “share your hike“ group, but seeing that there’s more than double the amount of people on the trail conditions page, I thought I would share this here, and tell people to go and join the other pages! I’ll certainly share some trail conditions though… One word…WET.
-Last night, we got hammered with rain in Lake Placid. Although the weather was beautiful today, it was 75° and humid and 100% of the trail was rock hopping, mud and water. But, it made for a lot of water! And that was important for us, being my friend Jordan who joined me, because we ended up trail running these two peaks today. So we were late and needed the ability to refill water often.
We started late at 10:45 AM and finished just shy at 5 PM! So just over 6 hours for the day.

Awesome, you guys are awesome. I’ve been trying to decide when and where I use poles. I think I saw a pic of you running with poles once and it appears you and Jordan don’t have them today. Poles are new to me and I’m trying to get others feedback primarily from people that go fast. I’ve been a cyclist most my life and usually you just look at what everyone else is doing but in hiking there isn’t much grpup hiking to scope peoples gear out! Thank you and thanks for all you do for the sport.
