Tabletop & Phelps
7/4/25 The first 4 miles or so from the Loj to the Y are a dream. Gradual, soft, dry and forgiving. Bugs virtually non existent. Mostly dry on the somewhat steep ascent to Phelps. Somewhat muddy on the VanHoevenberg trail, Tabletop Mountain Trail considerably more muddy/boggy. Overall phenomenal day and great hike.

Oh side note Indian Falls Lookout is a non negotiable on this one. It adds maybe 10 minutes of moving time and is easily one of the coolest views Iโve seen in the park. Really cool perspective of the monstrous Algonquin and the MacIntyre Range. Highly recommend taking a nice recharge here before heading out.
