Trail Conditions

My friend and I began hiking at 7:30 from a mostly full parking lot at Elk Lake Road. The Macomb slide was slightly wet which made certain steep parts difficult (I slipped once and started a mini landslide as I held on for dear life), but it was extremely fun as always. The trails were wet from recent rain, and so my boots got a little wet, but the mud wasn’t too bad(maybe a 6/10 muddiness with 10 being the Santanoni bog). Fortunately the rocks dried out so we had a safe descent down the Beck-horn trail. Overall it was a great day and we had a blast (I am also a taller guy so compare this with another recent post).
