Marshall from the Adirondack Loj
I didnt want to drive the 90 minutes to Upper Works trailhead so it was make my own route to get up to Marshall today: this route isnt on Alltrails that i can see.
Hiked up to Marshall from the Loj. The route I took was up Indian Pass Trail, then up Cold Brook Pass Trail, and finally up Mount Marshall trail. Trails were dry, only came across 2 other people for the 8 hours I was out there. Saw the plane as it was only .20 miles off of this route off to Marshall. Length from this route was 14.5 miles, elevation gain says 3143 feet.
The middle mile about halfway through the ascent you really have to pay attention to where the trail is as it traverses the river a couple times. The trails are in ok shape, definitely some blowdown and overgrown to navigate at times.
