Route Guidance
Trail Overview
Armstrong Mountain is a rugged Lower Great Range summit between Gothics and Upper Wolfjaw. It is usually part of a longer ridge day, where ladders, ledges, roots, and repeated elevation changes make the route feel more demanding than a simple summit tag.
Cautions
Armstrong sits in the middle of a bigger range traverse. Steep rock, ladders, wet footing, and the remaining distance to exit should be considered before continuing past Gothics.
