Route Guidance
Trail Overview
Azure Mountain is one of the most efficient fire-tower objectives in the northern Adirondacks. The route is short but steadily uphill, with a summit that feels larger than the approach suggests. The restored fire tower turns the hike into a full scenic lookout, with views over northern forests, lakes, and low mountain country.
Access
Use the signed Azure Mountain Trailhead parking area and follow posted roadside parking rules.
Seasonal Notes
Debar Mountain Wild Forest is open year-round with no fee.
Cautions
Short but steep climb; use caution on wet or icy footing and on the fire tower stairs/platform.
