Trail Overview
Bass Lake sits in Hammond Pond Wild Forest and is reached from the Bass Lake Trailhead on Ensign Pond Road. The Bass Lake Trail runs 3.2 miles to the Berrymill Flow and Moose Mountain Pond trail intersection, passing along the southern shore of Bass Lake. For Hike ADK, the full Bass Lake Trail out-and-back is presented as about 6.4 miles round trip, with lake access and a wooded backcountry feel.
