Route Guidance
Trail Overview
Bear Lake Trail is part of the Black River Wild Forest trail system near McKeever and Wolf Lake Landing Road. The route leaves Wolf Lake Landing Road east of the McKeever Parking Area and extends through the Bear Lake corridor toward the Big Woodhull and Sand Lake Falls trail network. The hike has a quieter western Adirondack feel, with forest travel, water access, and potential continuation toward Bloodsucker Pond and Big Woodhull Lake depending on the selected route.
