Route Guidance
Trail Overview
Belfry Mountain is a very short fire tower hike near Port Henry and Moriah, known for offering a strong scenic payoff with minimal mileage. The route follows an access road uphill from the parking area, then continues near a radio maintenance shed to the tower. Hikers go for the open fire tower cab and views across Lake Champlain, the Green Mountains, the High Peaks, and nearby historic mining communities. It is one of the best Adirondack fire tower options for beginners, families, and quick roadside summit trips.
