Trail Overview
Big Alderbed Trail offers a remote lake hike in Ferris Lake Wild Forest, reached from the Powley-Piseco Road corridor. The trail runs 2.6 miles from Powley-Piseco Road to Big Alderbed Lake, making the direct lake out-and-back about 5.2 miles round trip. The route gives hikers a water-focused destination in a quieter western Adirondack setting.
