Trail Overview
Buck Mountain is a Lake George classic with more elevation gain and a harder feel than many nearby scenic hikes. The western route from the Pilot Knob side climbs 1,980 feet over 3.3 miles to the 2,334-foot summit, while the eastern Shelving Rock Road approach gains about 1,100 feet.
