Route Guidance
Trail Overview
Bumps Pond is a backcountry pond destination in the Lake George Wild Forest trail system near Sleeping Beauty Mountain. The Bumps Pond Trail climbs from Dacy Clearing to the pond, with the route turning left at the first major junction rather than continuing right toward Sleeping Beauty. The hike is shorter than a full Sleeping Beauty or Fishbrook Pond circuit, but it still gains real elevation and gives hikers a quieter water objective inside the same popular trail network. It is useful as a moderate pond hike or as part of a longer loop.
