Trail Overview
Camp Santanoni is a historic Adirondack Great Camp destination in Newcomb and the Santanoni Preserve. The visit centers on a long, well-maintained historic carriage road that connects the Gate Lodge area with the Farm and Main Camp near Newcomb Lake. Newcomb Lake Road Trail is a 5-mile former carriage road from the Gate Lodge trailhead to Newcomb Lake, and the Farm and Main Camp can be reached by foot, bicycle, horse-drawn wagon, ski, or snowshoe depending on season. It is both a hiking route and a major historic site.
