Route Guidance
Trail Overview
Cobble Hill is a compact village-adjacent summit on the shore of Mirror Lake and part of the Lake Placid 9er. The current public approach starts near Mirror Lake Drive and Northwood School’s driveway, then follows boardwalk and natural-surface trail to a short but steep climb. Hikers go for a fast Adirondack view without committing to a long mountain day: the summit looks back over Lake Placid village, Mirror Lake, and the High Peaks. Expect junctions, a boardwalk or bridge-style start, a steeper upper section, and possible route-length variation depending on where you park in town.
