Trail Overview
Death Brook Falls, also called Death Falls or Secret Falls, is a short waterfall hike near Raquette Lake and Golden Beach Campground. The route is a brief walk from Route 28 to the base of the waterfall, with an easy grade, family-friendly feel, and scenic shallow pool below the falls. The hike is more of a quick waterfall stop than a full backcountry outing, but it has a strong payoff for minimal distance. It belongs in the Blue Ridge Wilderness area rather than Ferris Lake Wild Forest.
