Route Guidance
Trail Overview
Floodwood Mountain is a moderate, relatively short summit hike off Floodwood Road in the Saranac Lake area. The route is known for a manageable distance, forest climbing, trail junctions, steep rock slab near the upper mountain, and rewarding views over the Floodwood and Saranac Lake landscape. It is a good lower-elevation alternative when hikers want a real summit without committing to a High Peaks-scale day.
