Route Guidance
Trail Overview
Giant Mountain rises steeply above Chapel Pond and delivers one of the strongest view payoffs on the eastern side of the High Peaks. The standard Ridge Trail is direct and popular, but its steady grade, rocky footing, and exposed ledges make it more serious than the mileage alone suggests.
Cautions
Giant’s Ridge Trail is steep, rocky, and exposed in places. Wet rock, ice, heat, and crowded Chapel Pond parking can all change the difficulty of the day.
