Route Guidance

Trail Overview

Giant’s Nubble is a lower shoulder viewpoint on Giant Mountain that gives hikers a steep, scenic sample of the Giant Mountain Wilderness without requiring a full summit day. The standard outing uses the Ridge/Zander Scott approach from Route 73 and leaves the main Giant Mountain route for the Nubble side trail. Hikers go for the ledges, views of Giant’s slides, and a shorter but still rugged climb. The route includes junctions, open rock, and enough elevation gain to feel substantial despite the short distance.
