Route Guidance
Trail Overview
Good Luck Cliffs is one of the stronger payoff hikes in Ferris Lake Wild Forest, combining a mostly moderate forest approach with a steeper final climb to open ledges. The Good Luck Cliffs Trail begins from NY Route 10 and uses snowmobile-trail mileage before the steeper ledge approach. The reward is a high viewpoint over Spectacle Lake and surrounding southwestern Adirondack terrain. This is a better fit for hikers who want a short, scenic objective with a noticeable climb rather than a flat lake walk.
