Route Guidance
Trail Overview
Hackensack Mountain rises directly above Warrensburg and functions as a town-park summit hike rather than a remote Forest Preserve outing. Warren County and local heritage route descriptions describe a formal trail system with two main trailheads, a short out-and-back from Hackensack Avenue, and a longer summit loop from Prospect Street. The summit area gives western views over town and toward the Hudson and Schroon River confluence. The hike is moderate for its short distance, with a real climb, but it is approachable and easy to pair with time in Warrensburg.
