Route Guidance
Trail Overview
Hadley Mountain Fire Tower is a classic southern Adirondack fire-tower hike in the Wilcox Lake Wild Forest area. The route is short enough for a half-day outing but climbs steadily enough to feel like a real mountain hike, gaining roughly 1,500 feet on the way to the summit. Hikers go for the combination of a restored fire tower, open summit ledges, and broad views over the southern Adirondacks. The climb is more strenuous than its mileage alone suggests, but the route is straightforward and well established.
