Route Guidance
Trail Overview
Hammond Pond is a short pond hike in Hammond Pond Wild Forest, reached from the Ensign Pond Road/Caza Turn Road area. The route begins with an immediate trail split, then follows the signed direction toward Hammond Pond, passing junctions and wetland or stream terrain before reaching shoreline views. The usual short outing is about 1.7 miles round trip with roughly 150 feet of gain, while the Hammond Pond Trail itself runs about 0.9 miles one way. The hike is generally gentle, but it still requires attention at junctions and offers optional longer shoreline wandering.
