Trail Overview
Holmes Lake is a compact pond destination in Shaker Mountain Wild Forest. Holmes Lake Trail runs 1.1 miles from the Holmes Lake Trailhead to Holmes Lake, making the basic out-and-back about 2.2 miles round trip. The lake also has a tent site and lean-to context, giving it more appeal than simple mileage alone suggests.
