Route Guidance
Trail Overview
Indian Falls is a notable waterfall and viewpoint along the Van Hoevenberg route from Adirondack Loj toward Mount Marcy. It sits beyond Marcy Dam and the Phelps Mountain junction, giving hikers a worthwhile stop before the upper Marcy climb. The location is valued both for the falls themselves and for the open view back toward the MacIntyre Range. As a destination, it can work as a shorter High Peaks outing, a turn-around point, or an important waypoint on the way to Marcy.
Access
Adirondack Loj / HPIC is a paid, high-use High Peaks gateway; the lot often fills early on busy days.
