Route Guidance
Trail Overview
Jabe Pond is a small backcountry pond destination in the Lake George Wild Forest near Hague. The standard hiking access comes from Battle Hill Road and Jabe Pond Road, with a short road-walk style approach when vehicles do not continue to the inner access. Hikers visit for a quiet shoreline, paddling access, primitive camping, swimming, fishing, and a lower-traffic pond experience near the Lake George region. The route is generally easy, but access depends heavily on road conditions and whether the seasonal road is open.
