Route Guidance
Trail Overview
Kane Mountain Fire Tower is a classic short fire tower hike near Canada Lake and Caroga, reached from the Green Lake Road trailhead. The outing is commonly done as a loop, with enough climbing to feel worthwhile but not enough distance to dominate the day. The tower is the main reward, opening views over nearby lakes, low mountains, and southern Adirondack forest. This is a practical half-day objective for hikers who want a fire tower experience without a long approach.
