Trail Overview
Lake Lila is one of the signature remote water destinations in the William C. Whitney Wilderness. For hikers, it functions as a short access walk to a major wilderness lake rather than a long trail destination. The rough seasonal road, sandy shoreline, campsites, birding, and paddling context all shape the experience. Hikers can treat the lake access as a scenic destination on its own or as a staging point for longer outings.
