Route Guidance
Trail Overview
Moose Mountain is a quiet and rugged Lake Placid-area mountain in the McKenzie Mountain Wilderness. The current hiking approach uses the Whiteface Inn Lane / Blodgett Lane side and the Two Brooks route, with important private-land boundaries near the lower access. This is not a casual village walk: expect a hard outing with sustained climbing, rougher tread, sparse traffic, and route attention. The reward is a wilder-feeling northern Adirondack summit day close to Lake Placid without the High Peaks crowd pattern.
