Route Guidance
Trail Overview
Mount Adams Fire Tower is one of the strongest fire tower hikes in the High Peaks region, starting near Upper Works and climbing from the East River Trail approach. The route begins with a backcountry-feeling walk past the Hudson crossing and Lake Jimmy area during planning the main trail for a steep final climb to the summit. The summit itself is wooded, but the restored fire tower provides the payoff: wide views toward the central High Peaks, Flowed Lands, and the surrounding wild forest.
