Route Guidance
Trail Overview
Mountain Pond is reached on the Mountain Pond and Cork Mountain loop near Inlet, a short route that mixes forest road, foot trail, and multi use trail. The hike is modest in length but includes a steady climb, rough or slippery footing in places, and several junction decisions. The pond appears soon after the Vista Trail junction and gives the outing its main destination character. Hikers can continue the loop past the pond and return by the old forest road, with the nearby Cork Mountain spur treated as a separate optional objective.
