Trail Overview
Moxham Mountain is a popular summit hike in the Vanderwhacker Mountain Wild Forest near Minerva. The Moxham Mountain Trail runs about 2.5 miles and ascends 1,000 feet to the summit, with views toward the Hudson River Valley, Gore Mountain, and the central Adirondacks. The hike's open ledges and multiple viewpoints are a major part of the appeal. The outing is moderate to moderately hard because of its length and climbing, but it is still more approachable than major High Peaks routes.
