Route Guidance
Trail Overview
Nippletop Mountain is the high point of a long AMR loop, usually reached by Lake Road, Gill Brook, and the steep Elk Pass climb. The summit views are a major payoff, but the route is shaped just as much by AMR logistics and the long ridge return over Dial.
Cautions
Nippletop is a long AMR day with reservation logistics, a steep Elk Pass climb, and a sustained ridge return if paired with Dial. Confirm AMR access rules before going and allow enough time for the full exit.
