Route Guidance
Trail Overview
The Nun-da-ga-o Ridge Loop, also called the Soda Range route, is a scenic but demanding loop in the Hurricane Mountain Wilderness. It generally starts at Crow Clearing, connects Big Crow and Weston Mountain by an unmarked ridge route, and returns by the Lost Pond and Hurricane Mountain trail system. The appeal is the ridge itself: open ledges, rock outcrops, High Peaks views, Hurricane Mountain views, and a wilder feel than most short Adirondack loops. This is not a casual beginner loop. The route involves unmarked sections, scrambling, route-finding, and variable mileage depending on the exact line followed.
Access
Major Hurricane/Crow hub. Primary south approach parking is along Route 9N near the signed trailhead. Crow Clearing and Hurricane Mountain Lane provide alternate access points.
