Route Guidance
Trail Overview
OK Slip Falls is one of the signature waterfall hikes in the central Adirondacks, leading from the Route 28 corridor into the Hudson Gorge Wilderness. The route uses the shared Ross Pond access at first, then branches toward the falls and eventually descends to an overlook of one of the Adirondacks’ highest waterfalls. The hiking is moderate because the total round trip is long enough to matter, but the terrain is generally more rolling than mountainous. The payoff is a major waterfall viewpoint and a strong wilderness feel without a High Peaks-style climb.
