Route Guidance
Trail Overview
Owls Head in Keene is a short but steep local summit hike on private land near the Cascade Lakes. Hikers go for the quick climb, open ledges, and broad views toward the High Peaks, including nearby Cascade, Porter, and the Keene Valley area. this destination treats it as the Keene Owls Head route, not Owl Head Lookout near Elizabethtown or another similarly named Adirondack destination. Because access crosses private property, the route is best presented as a scenic, short, rules-sensitive outing rather than a casual anytime trail.
