Route Guidance
Trail Overview
Pitchoff Mountain is a prominent Sentinel Range hike above the Cascade Lakes corridor. The West Trail is the more popular approach because it reaches the ridge and the Balanced Rocks area faster, while the East Trail can be used as part of a longer traverse. The route climbs steadily from Route 73, moves through forest and open ledge terrain, and offers multiple views toward Upper and Lower Cascade lakes, Cascade Slide, Cascade Falls, and the surrounding High Peaks corridor.
