Trail Overview
Potash Mountain Trail climbs from the Harris Preserve in Lake Luzerne to an open, rocky summit with broad views over the surrounding southern Adirondack landscape. Warren County’s trail map lists the Summit Trail as a 3.26-mile round trip with 1,033 feet of gain, and a separate 0.7-mile Nature Trail can add a shorter interpretive loop near the base. The hike begins gently but becomes steeper and rougher higher up, with mud, rock, roots, ledges, and short scramble-like sections. It is a compact but real mountain climb rather than a casual roadside viewpoint.
