Route Guidance
Trail Overview
Rattlesnake Mountain is a popular Champlain Valley hike near Willsboro that delivers large views for relatively modest mileage. The route is a short out-and-back with a steady climb, including a steeper section before the open ledges. Hikers go for the view over Lake Champlain, the valley, and the Green Mountains beyond. It is approachable for many hikers, but the climb is real and the ledges deserve normal caution in wet, icy, or windy conditions.
