Route Guidance
Trail Overview
Rocky Mountain is one of the quick, high reward hikes near Inlet and Eagle Bay. The route is only about one mile round trip, but the climb rises quickly and can feel steeper than the mileage suggests. The yellow marked trail begins with easier walking, then works over roots, rocks, and small ledges before reaching an open rocky summit. Views over the Fulton Chain of Lakes make it a strong sunrise, sunset, or short add on objective, and it is part of the Fulton Chain Trifecta with Bald Mountain and Black Bear Mountain.
Access
Useful Inlet hub, even if some destinations use nearby separate parking.
