Route Guidance
Trail Overview
Rocky Peak Ridge is the harder-earned partner to Giant, reached most often by continuing beyond Giant through a deep col and open ridge terrain. The summit has a wild, open feel, but the return climb back over Giant is what makes the day demanding.
Cautions
Rocky Peak Ridge adds a deep descent, exposed ridge travel, and a required reclimb over Giant on the return. Do not continue past Giant without enough daylight, water, weather margin, and energy for the climb back.
