Route Guidance
Trail Overview
Rondaxe Fire Tower is the fire tower summit most hikers still know as Bald Mountain near Inlet. The route is short, but it climbs quickly onto a rocky spine that gives the hike more character than its mileage suggests. Early viewpoints appear before the summit, and the final approach follows open rock with broad views over the Fulton Chain of Lakes. The restored tower adds a classic Adirondack fire tower objective, while the rocks below the tower also provide strong views for hikers who do not climb the stairs.
