Route Guidance
Trail Overview
Shingle Mill Falls is a short waterfall hike in the Independence River Wild Forest, reached from the Partridgeville Road/Shingle Mills Fall Road area by the Blueberry Trail corridor. The hike is easy and compact, but the destination has strong scenery for its size, including a wide low waterfall, additional cascades, pools, and open rock slabs beside Otter Creek. It is useful as a family-friendly waterfall stop, a picnic-style outing, or a quick add-on while exploring the western Adirondacks, especially when paired with other short west-side waterfall stops.
