Route Guidance
Trail Overview
Siamese Ponds is a deeper wilderness destination than nearby short lake walks, reached most cleanly from the Thirteenth Lake trailhead through the Siamese Ponds Wilderness. The route is best presented as a longer pond-country hike with sustained mileage, forest travel, and interior backcountry feel. The surrounding trail network includes substantial climbs and descents beyond Thirteenth Lake, and the Siamese Ponds route works best as a full out-and-back day. The destination fits hikers who are ready for a longer wilderness approach rather than a quick scenic stop.
