Silver Lake Mountain is a compact but steep hike in the Taylor Pond Wild Forest, known for delivering strong views in under a mile of climbing. The summit sits at 2,347 feet, and the trail climbs about 0.9 mile one way with roughly 900 feet of ascent. The payoff is an open summit view toward Silver Lake, Taylor Pond, Whiteface Mountain, and surrounding northern Adirondack terrain.
