Route Guidance
Sleeping Beauty Mountain is one of the most recognizable Lake George hikes, known for a rewarding summit view over the lake and surrounding eastern Adirondack ridges. The destination is reached through the Shelving Rock / Dacy Clearing side of Lake George Wild Forest, with Hogtown and Dacy Clearing access language depending on road and gate conditions. The hike is moderate in feel: not a High Peak-level effort, but enough climbing and rocky footing to feel like a real summit day. Keep the destination focused on the standard public route while noting the broader Lake George trail network context.
