Route Guidance
Trail Overview
South Inlet Cascades is a short waterfall and streamside destination in the Great Camp Sagamore trail system. The Cascades Trail follows the western bank of the South Inlet of Raquette Lake through forest to a cascade area suitable for a simple picnic-style hike. The route is about 1.5 miles one way and roughly 2.8 miles out and back depending on how the turnaround is counted. The route is gentle compared with most mountain hikes and works best as a short scenic water destination.
