Route Guidance
Trail Overview
Spectacle Pond Trail is a short out-and-back to a quiet pond in the Pharaoh Lake Wilderness east of Schroon Lake. The marked trail runs 1.7 miles one way to the south shore, making the standard hike about 3.4 miles round trip. The route climbs gradually from the trailhead and rewards hikers with pond views, surrounding hills, and a low-commitment wilderness feel. It fits as a simple nature hike rather than a major summit objective.
